‘Conserving Kaptagat Forest’

Ecotourism is popularly defined as ‘the responsible travel to natural and cultural areas that conserve the environment and sustain the well-being of the people.”

The eco tourism programme is organized by Elagerini Camp in partnership with Greater Kaptagat Green association, a youth managed eco-entrepreneurship in collaboration with KFS (Kenya Forest Association). Kaptagat Forest rangers are the tour guide. Ecotourism activities take place every first Saturday of the month and Public Holidays.

Purpose

Kaptagat Forest Ecotourism is a real-time education on love for Kaptagat Forest. The walk is mostly an experience of the pristine beauty of the Forest. It is a responsible hike to natural areas of the forest.
